Mary D. Brown, MS, RD, LDN

Mary is the founder of Nutrition Specialists, LLC and Budding Baby. She is a Registered Dietitian (RD) licensed in the state of North Carolina (LDN) and has both a bachelor’s degree from Winthrop University and a master’s degree from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in nutrition science and exercise physiology. After her studies, she completed a Dietetic Internship at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Mary’s expertise in nutrition is built on extensive counseling, teaching and research activities. Her clinical and counseling experiences have allowed her to develop a specialty in women’s needs, pediatrics, disease management and sports nutrition.

Among her many strengths, Mary’s rich interpersonal skills, as well as her effectiveness as a coach, counselor and educator allow her to build close and productive relationships with her clients. Mary emphasizes a holistic approach to working with her clients, and develops programs of balanced nutrition and exercise. She focuses on physical and emotional growth and development through education and lifestyle changes.
